My Long Absence
Jan. 1st, 2014 12:14 amIs not explained by anything other than a long and strange year.
Onto the 2013 annual recap!
1. What did you do in 2013 that you'd never done before?
Hmmm... This was a long year of starting over and getting back on my feet. But I made a couple of significant charitable donations... and I helped place my eldest brother into a nursing home.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Sort of! I dropped 20 pounds, and added walking to my summer lunches. I'd very much like to continue that trend.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yes, my nephew had a baby girl in April of this year.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Yes, Marty Gear passed away in mid-July. He was like the father I never really had...
Sort of (not close emotionally)? The tenant that we evicted in January was murdered on my mother's birthday, August 31st.
5. What countries did you visit?
None. (sniffles)
6. What would you like to have in 2014 that you lacked in 2013?
A tidier home. To be fair, we made big strides toward this in 2013! But I want to continue to declutter. I'd also like to spend more times with friends.

August 31st (reasons above). May 10th - Nancy's second brain surgery.
