How can you DO this, Renda??
May. 12th, 2009 03:32 amHome from the AIDS fundraiser-auction where I've spent - fairly literally - 15 solid hours hustling to put this together today. On top of 6 hours yesterday.
My first impression is that this event was very successful: We had a pretty good crowd of people (about 1700), though the bidding was supposedly less than previous years. Considering the economy, this isn't all that surprising.
All of our food vendors showed up (yay), though one of them just ditched their food and walked out, so we had to scrounge volunteers to man their table (boo). I've already thought of a handful of improvements. (Because I love over-engineering a process.)
Mostly, everything from my lower back to my toes hurts.... A LOT. Ah well, that's what advil and hot showers are for. Now, I'm off to fall over. ♥
